"UNITED STATES"

The UNITED STATES was a sister ship to the CONSTITUTION and the
PRESIDENT. Was launched on May 10, 1797. On October 25, 1812 the UNITED
STATES captured the frigate Macedonian. On April 20, 1861 the ship was sunk
at the Norfolk Navy Yard. Later raised in 1865 and broken up in 1866.
