another armed reconnaissance mission.
For the air crew of 21 men, the vibrant sights, sounds and familiar comforts
of San Francisco,
the bay area and the California coast can only beckon as
memories of another world.
They now must brave the uncertainties of time and distance in the high cold
war of the fifties.
And, as it was in a time far away, then so it is today, a ground crew waits
patiently for their aircraft's return . . .
