On April 18, 1942, General James H. Doolittle led a strike against the
Japanese homeland from the US carrier HORNET. They bombed military
targets and then dispersed to China and Russia.
This momentous event served to avenge Pearl Harbor and shock the
Japanese. These courageous flyers will be forever recorded in the
annals of history.
