| This painting depicts a Tornado of 617 Sqn based at Muharraq climbing off target on max dry power after dive bombing an Iraqi installation during the Gulf War. The painting was researched with the full co-operation of the 617 Sqn crews and shows ZD717 being flown by Flt Lt Paul Wharmby. This aircraft was shot down later in the war. |
