| Giants Over the Horizon 48” x 36” Original Air-brushed Acrylic Painting This spectacularly beautiful aviation painting was created as a celebration of the Air Force career of Col.(retired) Louis Bernasconi. Spanning 3 decades of service, the main plane is the venerable B-52D that Col. Bernasconi went down in during Operation Linebacker II in December of 1972, where Col. Bernasconi was imprisoned at the infamous “Hanoi Hilton”. Over the top of the ”Buff” flies the forerunner of the B-52, the gorgeous B-47E, that now resides as an air base gate guard, and the incredible 230 foot wing-span B-36J, #22220, which Col. Bernasconi flew in the 1950’s and is now on display at the Air Force Museum at Dayton, Ohio. All three SAC bombers seem to be flying in graceful unison over a gorgeous sunset above a carpet of warm clouds that disappear over the horizon. BEAUTIFUL! • 24” x 18” Open Studio Edition Poster - signed by the artist - Giclée Giclée prints are also offered by the artist. These ultra high-resolution, high- fidelity reproductions use the highest pigmented inks and print virtually continuous tone, using a special 44” wide printer.
