With his depiction of the Abrams tank in Iraq, artist René Borst
captures the essence of the US Army's battlefield dominance in
both Gulf conflicts. In both wars, the M1 Abrams moved with

Rene served in the German Army from 1990-1992 as a Leopard
Tank Driver. Having shared many hours of studio time with Dru,
René has developed a high degree of proficiency in depicting
images that display a superb illusion of reality.
