30 Sqdn. Thunderbolts in action over Rangoon,1944
year published:-1994 signed by:-Artist.

This painting depicts a specific action over Rangoon involving the
Thunderbolts of 30 Sqn who were engaged in escorting a formation
of B-24 Liberators of 215, 355 and 356 Sqns RAF.
The nearest Thunderbolt HD289, flown by Harry Whidbourne DFC
engaged and destroyed a Ki44 'Tojo'.
The attack was sketched and described by AVM David Dick who also
flew on the raid thus ensuring an authentic depiction of the action on
that day.
