| The Soo Line ordered four 0-20 Class Northerns from Lima Locomotive Works in late 1937. With their high-stepping performance the Northerns served in main line freight service between Chicago and Minneapolis. The total mileage's run by the Northerns, from start to finish, came to over 5 million miles. They were retired in 1954 and 1955. |
