About The Artist:
Steven R Daly is a
self-taught artist who has
seen his hobby grow into
a busy career. He was
born in Ottawa, Ontario,
Canada in 1954. Steven
lived for a time near Deep
River, Ontario, where he
developed his love for
aviation and float planes
while flying to the family
fly-in tourist camp in
Western Quebec.
In 1981, Steven learned to
fly in a Super Cub float
plane out of the St. Mary's
River in Sault Ste. Marie,
Ontario - the city he has
called home for most of
his life.
While serving with the
Canadian Armed Forces,
N.O.R.A.D., Steven had the
opportunity to photograph
and sketch the
bushplanes he saw
across the North.
In 1982, his artistic career
took flight when he was
commissioned by a friend
to paint an acrylic of the
"Fleet Canuck".
Steven's paintings are
now on displayed in
public and private
collections across North
America. He is currently
producing a Float plane
Series, which is available
here at Ozark Airfield
