| June 1965. While en route to targets north of Saigon, two B-52s collide at 30,000 feet while flying through Typhoon Dinah. Arc Light One was comprised of aircraft from the 320th Bomb Group based out of Guam and carried out by 29 ships. This tragic accident was the result of an unfortunate chain of events, not the least of which ws the severe weather. In spite of the terrific explosion seen hundreds of miles away, several men survived the collision to live and fly again. This print also honors those who gave their lives that night in the service of thier country. |
